Classic Norwegian fish soup 经典挪威鱼汤
In this weeks video we are making a classic Norwegian fish soup.
It is a really delicious dish, that is not so difficult to make.
The dish originates from Norway.
It is normal to use salmon in the soup, but you can also use other types of fish like cod. Even bigger size shrimps can be used.
Hope you will enjoy making and eating it.
Ingredients:
3 big potatoes
1 carrot
1/2 leek
1 onion
1 star anis
2 dl cream
1 cube of fish stock
300 gram salmon
100 to 125 gram Processed cheese (natural taste)
(Please note that processed cheese is also called American cheese, soup cheese or here in Scandinavia it’s Smelteost. Often also used on hamburgers)
Normally we start out by making the cream sauce that later will go into the fish soup.
Cut the onion in half rings, and fry them in butter or oil.
Add the star anis.
When the onions are soft, add the cream. Please do not let the cream boil.
When its warm add the cheese and let it melt veil you stir gently in it.
When its melted turn of and let it cool.
We make the basic fish soup.
Cut the vegetables in small pieces and fry them as shown in the video.
Around 4 minutes.
Add the fish stock cube and add 1/2 liter water (should cover the vegetables)
When the potatoes and carrots are soft and ready to eat add then cream sauce we made earlier and when its warm (don’t let it boil) add the salmon pieces.
Soup is ready to eat after a few minutes.
